Last week (Jul 10-Jul 12) I went on a camping trip at Whistler RV Park & Campgrounds! It was my family’s first time going camping!
From Vancouver, it was a 2-hour-drive. We were probably 1h 30m in and we took a break at Shannon Falls, Shannon Falls is a waterfall. It was my first waterfall I saw in Canada. The water was pretty cold but I could take it. The stream was Emerald Green/Sea Green.
We got there, unboxing everything was exhausting, and I think we over packed a little for clothes. Okay, so now we got everything out and we take the bikes off the bike rack.
When I was riding, I got to go past the RV Campsites and there were tons of RV’s. The RV’s were actually quite big.
The view from the mountains were unbelievable. We were even in clouds! It was so foggy.
Sleeping in my sleeping bag is really hot so on the first night, I woke my parents up in the middle of the night just to fix my sleeping bag. They couldn’t sleep all night. The second night (The Last Night) was normal. I didn’t wake anyone up or even wake up myself.
I even got to learn how to roast a marshmallow. Roasting a marshmallow is hard. You need to get it perfect. But I got a few right and a few just burned. My cousins even brought professional sticks to roast marshmallows. When one of the marshmallows burnt or fell in the fire, I feel like really bad.*btw the S’mores were awesome

The second day was full of rain, but we successfully did stuff. We were about to go for a hiking to a lake but the trail is not suitable for small kids so we went to another waterfall instead. The water fall was named Brandywine Falls.
After that we drove to Whistler to go for walking around the village. But just as we arrive It started raining. So we had to return to our campsite. I was really sad we didn’t get to go for a hike. And I also hate the rain.
As I mentioned, my uncle was there and he invited his friends, quite a lot. They started their own party. There was this guy he went to buy ice cream with me on bikes. Because I went with him I got to pick my own Ice cream while everyone else had the same ice cream. And there was this family they brought their kids. One of the was named Ari, he’s 2 years old. He was so fun to play with when I did something, he’d copy me. When I walk next to him he would hold my hand. And I really miss him.
I even got to eat prawn. It’s called B.C. spotted prawn. It’s so good I can’t explain it. So your gonna have to try it yourself. *please do.

Because it was raining all day, I felt bored so I went for a bike ride in the rain with mom. I really liked going fast through puddles. And the wet road was fun. Until I realized, when I go in puddles, the wheel sprays water at my back. So in the end, my jacket was all dirty.
I even found horse stables in the campsite! and a pile of hay nearby, so I tried to feed them. That was the first time in my life I fed a horse!
The third day went fast as we had leave before 11am. We had hotdogs and burgers for breakfast and packed everything in and drove home. I was really sad when we went home and now I really want to go camping again.
